2021 Coming in Hot

Life has a funny way of surprising you when you least expect it. I am still processing and in a bit of shock and awe, TBH.

But y'all, I manifested a man.

I started the list of my "Dream Man" on August 9th, 2015. Each year I've morphed that list, replacing things that once mattered with things that really matter. The evolution of this list, my ask to the universe, in its most recent form, was all about what's on the inside and less about what's on the outside. If you remember, Reiki Master, Cathie English, told me to add "All of this or better." to my list back in December 2019, on Season 1 Episode 12, Change Your Energy, Change Your Love Life. The universe delivered this man wrapped with a bow, and as A-a-Ron would say, he's a “Chocolate Unicorn”.

I debated sharing this news as it's early. Like anyone who is just starting a new relationship, you aren't exactly sure where things are going, but authenticity and transparency are part of the foundation in which You're Such a Catch was born. To stay true to my word, here we are; the book is still open. Big things have not only been happening personally but also professionally.

You're Such a Catch was invited to attend the Manhattan Village Market Pop-up organized by Style on the Spot. Hosting a Kiss & Tell booth, I had several people stop by, pick a Conversation Heart out of the stack and answer the prompt or question about dating and relationships. Prompts ranged from serious inquiries, "What qualities do you look for in a partner?", to funny, lighthearted prompts like, "Tell me a Tindernightmare." This was my first attempt at recording on location. I loved bringing You're Such a Catch out into the community and watching men and women of all ages, sexual orientations, and relationship statuses: single, dating, married, interact with the brand and its core principles. The common response, "I love this!"

As we approach San Valentine's Day, let this be a reminder of love in many ways, not specific to romantic love. Still, a reminder to love our neighbor, spread joy wherever we go, and love the person whose reflection you see when you look in the mirror. That is the most important relationship you have. Nurture it!
