Father/Daughter Football Date
Every season I take my dad to a Chargers game. He's a 49er fan first, but cheers on the Chargers for me. Football is our thing. He helps me set my fantasy football line up, commiserates with me when my fantasy team or the Chargers lose and celebrates any and all victories. Father/daughter bonding at its best.
Dad has been with me to Qualcomm (San Diego), to Stub Hub (Carson), and now to SoFi Stadium (Los Angeles). We didn't have time to tailgate for this game. It was Sunday Night Football, but we did get access to a pregame party inside the stadium. Thank you, Karen Garcia. This party was epic—so many amazing experiences and moments that I will treasure for a lifetime.
The game itself was incredible. My Chargers roomie, Lisa Torres, gifted Dad a Chargers not-so "terrible towel" for him to swing in the air as we cheered our hearts out. I was so proud of Dad. He stood up for every Steelers third-down, swung the towel as we scored, and was frustrated and upset with the rest of the bolt gang as we lost the lead we had worked so hard to gain. I truly envisioned us leaving the stadium with six minutes to go and a nice cushy buffer on the scoreboard. In true Chargers fashion, it came down to wire. Thank God we got the dub.
It's days like this that etch a memory so deep in my mind and on my heart.
This is what living my best feels like. This is what claiming abundance is all about. There's no greater feeling than being able to give this gift to my dad. Moreso, it's a gift to me.
The top 11 reasons why Sunday night football was one for the memory books:

I fumbled, then recovered a tee shirt thrown into the stands.
